Regimen + Goals

My Hair Regimen: I moisturize and/or oil my hair daily. As needed (usually weekly) I cleanse my hair and scalp with a moisturizing shampoo (or a clarifying one if there's build up). I do a moisturizing OR protein treatment with every shampoo. I stretch my relaxers 3-4 months.

My go-to protective/low manipulation styles: buns, braid-outs and halfwigs. In 2012 I want to start experimenting with more heat-free styles. I air dry most of the time and flat iron for length checks only.

I'm currently midback length (MBL) and actively working towards reaching waist length by my graduation in mid-2012.

Stretching Update

I'm 10 weeks post and I have a lot of new growth :) Today I had the bright idea of washing my hair bent over the shower. BIG MISTAKE. Normally I can do this within my first 5 weeks post with no problems, but right now I'm double that many weeks post. Now my hair is a tangled mess :( My plan is to co-wash and detangle tomorrow (standing in the shower this time!)

Other than that, my stretch is going nicely! I have no idea as to when I'm going to relax next. Just taking it day by day and loving every step of the way!

One n Only Haul

One 'n Only Argan Oil Line <3
Sally's was having a sale on my favorite line (buy 2 get 1 free) so of course I had to stock up! I now have:

One 'n Only Argan Oil Moisture Repair Shampoo
One 'n Only Argan Oil Moisture Repair Conditioner
One 'n Only Argan Oil Restorative Mask
One 'n Only Argan Oil Hydrating Mask (new)
One 'n Only Argan Oil Curl Cream (new)
One 'n Only Argan Oil Treatment

The shampoo and conditioner is sulfate, phosphate and paraben free. All of the products smell the same. These products unfortunately do not contain much pure argan oil (it is low on the ingredients list) which is why they are way cheaper than the Morrocanoil brand.
153.2
Edit: I dunno what happened! Okay the shampoo lathered and cleansed nicely so it's still a definite keeper. The conditioner is GREAT -- nice and moisturizing with slip. But the Hydrating Mask was bad. It seemed to coat my hair -- it wasn't absorbing at all. So I put on a plastic cap to trap the heat and hopefully melt the product..but nope. When i took it off it was like I didn't put anything on my edges (I always heavily slick my edges with deep conditioner). So this conditioner gets a fail. It does smell delicious. But it just wasn't conditioning. Also, the slip was no where to be found. needless to say I will not be repurchasing this mask. in fact I'm trying to figure out when I'm going to return them. Same thing with the curl cream. I like to creamy consistency but when I applied it, it just sat on my hair and left a weird white crummy residue...these 2 products fail! But the Shampoo, Conditioner, Restorative Mask (the Hydrating mask is the one that sucks) and the Serum all get a 10/10 ♥
